Stabbings lead to extra patrols

Police are appealing for motorists to come forward
Police are putting on extra patrols in an area where three teenagers were stabbed.

The 16-year-olds were attacked on the Old Kent Road in Walworth, south-east London, on Wednesday afternoon.

One underwent emergency surgery after being stabbed in the head and is in a stable condition.

Another is in a stable condition after suffering a punctured lung and the other has been discharged. Police say a weapon has been recovered.

Police said they were also injured when they were attacked by a group of youths.

Officers have appealed for motorists and commuters in the area at the time to come forward if they have any information.
