Road collapse death 'suspicious'

Police are treating as suspicious the death of a man who was found unconscious in a south London street.

The man, who is thought to be in his 60s, was found collapsed in New Park Road, off Streatham Place, in Streatham, on Wednesday evening.

An ambulance attended but the victim died on his way to hospital.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "An investigation is taking place into the circumstances of his death, which is being treated as suspicious."
