Kavian Francis-Hopwood's murder inspired the peace march
Hundreds of demonstrators have marched through north-west London to protest against gun crime.

Protestors gathered in Stonebridge for the 4th annual Brent Peace March before making their way to South Kilburn where the procession ended.

The event was founded by Patsy Hopwood whose 21-year-old son Kavian was shot dead on the Stonebridge Estate in 2003. Police have still not found his killer.

The student was killed the day after the start of a nationwide gun amnesty.

Patsy Hopwood said: "Too many of our youngsters have died through guns.

"If you know someone has a gun and you keep silent you are just as guilty as if you pulled the trigger yourself.

"The peace march is a chance for the community to show its disgust at these types of crimes."
