Brothers charged with stab murder
Two brothers have been charged with the murder of a man who died after being stabbed in the street where he lived.

Nicholas Monkton, 28, of Thomson Crescent, Croydon, and Lee Monkton, 19, of Norbury Crescent, Norbury, are accused of murdering Steven Jones.

The 23-year-old was killed in Thomson Crescent on 18 August. A post mortem examination discovered he died from a stab wound to the liver.

The brothers appeared before Croydon magistrates on Wednesday.

They were committed to appear before the Old Bailey on 28 November.

A 26-year-old man has been released on bail while inquiries continue.
