Woman puts suspect's photo online
A woman whose flat was burgled has put up the picture of a man she suspects on the networking website Facebook.

Jackie McGeown, 31, of north London, believes a man posing as a neighbour broke into her flat and two others.

A builder who the man had befriended became suspicious and took the man's picture with his mobile phone when he left, saying he was "going on holiday".

Police have confirmed the burglaries took place but said the online post "may compromise future prosecutions".

On a page titled "Do you recognise my burglar?" Ms McGeown wrote: "Is this the cheekiest burglar in the world?

A police spokesman said they received a report of a burglary in Ms McGeown's road on Tuesday.

He added that the suspect stole electronic items, clothing and jewellery

"The suspect has not yet been identified by police and the publishing of pictures online may compromise future prosecutions," he said.
