Father killed in 'revenge attack'
Jason Greene
Jason Greene was shot in front of his two sons
A father shot dead in front of his two children was the target of a revenge attack, a court has heard.

Jason Greene, 29, was in a car with his sons, aged four and eight, in Wembley, north-west London, in July 2006 when he was shot, the Old Bailey heard.

Prosecutors claim he was killed because he was blamed for the murder of another man, Shaun Stanislas, who was shot dead in Brent in February 2005.

Christopher Toussaint-Collins, 19, of Hendon, north London, denies murder.

Prosecutor John Shorrock QC told the court Mr Toussaint-Collins was the masked gunman who emerged from a waiting car and shot Mr Greene twice.

The vehicle was found set alight nearby within minutes of the shooting.

"The defendant was one of a number of men who wanted revenge for the murder of Shaun Stanislas," said Mr Shorrock.

A note found at his home read: "It's almost a year since Stunts died and no one has taken any action."

The trial continues.
