Roads closed by St Pancras fire
Euston hotel fire
About 40 firefighters tackled the blaze
Hundreds of people were forced to evacuate buildings and roads were closed when a fire started at a central London hotel.

Emergency services were called to the Midland Grand Hotel above St Pancras station in Euston Road at 1200 BST.

The nearby British Library and Camden Town Hall were both evacuated as a precautionary measure.

The blaze, which was under control within two hours, caused slight damage to the basement, the fire brigade said.

About 40 firefighters dealt with the blaze at the five-storey building and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
