Boots probes alleged mice reports

Boots is investigating the complaint
Retailer Boots has launched an inquiry after a shopper bought a snack which she claimed was partly eaten by mice from one of its stores.

Cindy Ferguson claimed a packet of Snackerjack rice cakes bought at its Elephant and Castle branch in south London had been nibbled by mice.

"I feel as though I have eaten mice droppings," she told BBC London 94.9. "I don't think that's acceptable."

A Boots spokesman said they hoped to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

"We are investigating this as a matter of urgency with both the store team and our customer care team," she said.
