Record attempt on St George's Day
Tim Curry as Spamalot
Spamalot's cast will stage a coconut orchestra on St George's Day
Festivities for St George's Day began in London with a parade and will end with a world record attempt by the cast of the musical Spamalot.

A parade to the Centotaph was followed by music by folk artists at Covent Garden, central London.

The team of Monty Python musical Spamalot will try to create the world's largest coconut orchestra in Trafalgar Square on Monday.

The current record of 1,789 was set in March last year, in New York.

People will be given pairs of coconuts to "clip-clop" in time to the Python classic Always Look On The Bright Side of Life.

The attempt will followed by a screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail in Trafalgar Square, at 1930 BST.
