Soap actor given police caution
Mohammed George
Mohammed George was arrested after an incident in Camden
EastEnders actor Mohammed George has been cautioned by police for assaulting his girlfriend earlier this year.

George, who plays Gus Smith in the BBC1 soap, was cautioned by police at London's Holborn police station for common assault.

The 24-year-old was arrested after an incident with girlfriend Emma Archibald in Camden, north London.

The Crown Prosecution recommended no further action be taken on the case "in light of further evidence."

Crown Prosecution Service reviewing lawyer Mark Jones-Dawson said: "In light of further evidence provided to police by Mr George today, including an admission of the offence and an apology to the victim, we advised police to administer a caution.

"In coming to this decision we considered all of the circumstances of this case, including the view of the victim."
