Young mother admits killing baby

A woman has admitted killing her baby after the infant's body was found in a disused freezer in a garden shed.

The baby had died from severe head injuries and its head was wrapped in tape, a court at the Old Bailey heard.

Patricia De Carvalho Braga, 22, from Winchmore Hill, north London, pleaded guilty to infanticide.

Braga was remanded in custody for reports and will be sentenced in three weeks' time. She had hidden her pregnancy from her family.
