Trio arrested over club shooting
Two men and a woman have been arrested after a shooting at a north London nightclub which has left a 21-year-old man critically ill.

The shots were fired at the Elbow Room club in Chapel Market, Islington, in the early hours of New Year's Day.

The 21-year-old was taken to an east London hospital with gunshot wounds. A 23-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were also injured but are stable.

The three arrested people are being questioned at separate police stations.

The 23-year-old woman is in a central London hospital suffering a gunshot wound to her leg while the 22-year-old man is in a north London hospital also suffering from a gunshot wound.

Neither of their conditions are said to be life-threatening.

Police believe the shots were fired on the dance floor of the nightclub following a disturbance.
