Two rescued in car garage blaze
Two people were rescued when a fire broke out at a car repair garage in the early hours.

More than 50 firefighters worked for several hours to put out the blaze in Bromley Road, Tottenham, north London.

After a number explosions up to 60 people were moved to safety as properties nearby were evacuated.

A man and woman who had to be rescued were not injured. A cordon around the area will remain in place while gas cylinders are cooled down.

Tottenham High Road, between the junctions of Lordship Lane and White Hart Lane, has been closed causing traffic congestion.

Those who had to leave their homes are being looked after at a disused school and may not be able to return until Friday morning.
