Chelsea's footballers dedicated their winning Champions' League goal against Barcelona to a member of staff who died when she was knocked down by a lorry.

Victoria Buchanan, 28, of Kilburn, was cycling when she crashed at the junction of Fulham Road with Beaufort Street, south-west London, on Tuesday.

Ms Buchanan was heading the operations for Chelsea Pitch Owners. She was declared dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made. Police have made an appeal for witnesses.

'Hugely popular'

Chelsea star striker Didier Drogba, who scored the winning goal on Wednesday, dedicated it to Ms Buchanan.

He said: "It was difficult for me to keep playing but we needed three points. My goal is dedicated to all her family."

A statement from the club said she was "hugely popular" with the staff, players and ex-players.

A post-mortem found multiple injuries as the cause of her death.
