Allan Chappelow
The 86-year-old died of head injuries
A man has been arrested over the murder of a millionaire author found dead in his north London home.

Allan Chappelow's body was found at his address in Downshire Hill, Hampstead, in June.

A post-mortem examination revealed the 86-year-old writer had died from head injuries.

A 45-year-old man was arrested on an international warrant near Zurich, Switzerland, by the Swiss authorities on Friday.

He is being held in custody pending extradition proceedings.

Mr Chappelow's work has included two books on the playwright George Bernard Shaw entitled Shaw the Chucker-Out: a Biographical Exposition and Critique, and Shaw the Villager and Human Being.

He also wrote Russian Holiday, published in 1955.
