Man admits bus attack on singer
Billy Leeson
Billy Leeson's bandmates say he is recovering
A man has pleaded guilty to an attack on a young rock singer which left him in a coma.

The Les Incompetents singer, Billy Leeson, 19, was assaulted on a bus in Islington, north London, in June.

He was left critically ill and in a coma after hitting his head, but has since left hospital.

Architectural technician Christian Briggs, 30, from New Zealand, admitted a charge of grievous bodily harm at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Prosecutor Lee Ingham said Briggs, of Haringey, north London, was of "previous good character".

Judge Peter Birts QC adjourned the case for medical reports and a statement from the victim until 23 October.

Mr Leeson, from north London, is making a good recovery, according to his bandmates.
