Police probe nightclub shooting
A shooting in a north London nightclub which left a man in a critical condition is being investigated.

Scotland Yard said officers were called at 0345 BST to reports of shots being fired inside the Scala nightclub in Pentonville Road, King's Cross.

They said a man in his 20s was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a central London hospital where he was described as critical.

Police are asking witnesses to contact them, anonymously if necessary.

Six weeks ago Sharif Zaiden, 18, from Ladbroke Grove, was shot dead on the dancefloor at the nearby Egg club in King's Cross.
