Metal detectors will be used to prevent knives being carried

Metal detectors will be used at key London stations to prevent knife crime at this year's Notting Hill Carnival.
Up to seven metal detector arches, as well as hand held scanners, will be used at key stations and interchanges.
A pre-event police operation aimed at deterring troublemakers from attending the Carnival has led to 14 arrests.
The scheme, run by the British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police, will continue throughout the bank holiday weekend.
