The stabbing happened at Wood Green Shopping City
Two youths held in connection with the stabbing of a teenage shop supervisor have been released on bail.

The pair, aged 16 and 17, were arrested at addresses in north London on Friday and taken into police custody.

Rudy Takkou, 19, was stabbed after confronting three youths he suspected of shoplifting at Wood Green Shopping City, north London, on Wednesday.

He was found by a colleague and taken to hospital for surgery. His condition is described as stable.

Mr Takkou's employer, Moss Bros, said he had been with the firm for two months and was a popular member of staff at the designer outlet store.

The company said it had been in contact with his family and provided counselling for colleagues.

Michael Thompson, the shopping centre's general manager, said security would be reviewed following the stabbing.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said the two youths had been bailed to a date in August.
