Youth charged with Kiyan murder
Kiyan Prince
Kiyan died from a single stab wound
A teenager is due in court charged with murdering a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death outside his school.

Kiyan Prince, a youth team footballer with Queens Park Rangers, was attacked near the London Academy school in Edgware, north London, on Thursday.

Police arrested a 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, on Friday night and he was charged on Saturday.

He is due to appear before Brent magistrates.

Floral tributes

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of Kiyan's death as a single stab wound to the chest.

Kiyan's death prompted a flood of floral and other tributes outside the main gates of the school.

London Academy principal Phil Hearne said Kiyan had had as much potential as Theo Walcott, the teenage star recently called up to England's World Cup squad.

Kiyan, who lived with his mother and 18-year-old sister, was dubbed "one for the future" by bosses at QPR.
