One of the biggest headaches for motorists in London and the South East is not knowing how long a journey will take, research by a think tank shows.

More than half of drivers are fed up wasting their time stuck in jams, while a third say unpredictable journey times leave them frustrated.
The government wants to cut congestion by charging to use the busiest roads.
But the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) report found the public were sceptical about road pricing.
Traffic is expected to grow by up to 34% in London in the next 20 years, and by 36% nationally.
The national scheme would see motorists charged from a possible 1p per mile on quiet rural roads to £1 per mile at peak time on the most congested sections of motorway.

Anthony Vigor, IPPR senior research fellow and author of the report, said: "The Easter getaway is a prime example of the problems of increased traffic and congestion in London and the South East.
"Motorists are unable to predict how long their journeys will take and this frustrates the travelling public.
"The evidence shows that without action it will only get worse.
"If road pricing is to provide the solution, more needs to be done to win the public over."
Thursday is expected to be the busiest day of the Easter weekend on the roads, with traffic expected to build up from 1300 BST and delays adding 40 minutes onto most journeys, says the RAC.
