A teenager has appeared in court charged with murdering nursing assistant Cheryl Moss.

Trainee accountant Stuart Harling, 18, from Rainham, Essex, was remanded in custody at Enfield Magistrates Court.

He is accused of killing Mrs Moss, 33, who was stabbed in a park behind St George's Hospital in Hornchurch, east London, on Thursday morning.

Mr Harling was arrested on Friday and will next appear at the Old Bailey on 17 July.

Mrs Moss, who was on a cigarette break when she was attacked, had worked on the hospital's geriatric ward for more than a decade.

A post-mortem examination confirmed she died from multiple stab wounds.
