A London police officer has appeared in court charged with a racially aggravated attack on a Kurdish man.
Pc David Yates, 26, denied the charge as well as two others for racially aggravated threatening behaviour and common assault.
The charges were brought following an alleged assault against a 17-year-old on 21 February last year, a Southwark Crown Court hearing heard.
The officer was given unconditional bail and will be tried in October.
Mr Yates was suspended last May from his post in the Metropolitan Police's Territorial Support Group, based in Paddington, west London.
