A seventh man has been charged with the murder of a man who was shot during the 2004 Notting Hill Carnival.

Lloywen Carty, 25, of Kensal Green, north-west London, is due to appear at Brent Magistrates' Court on Friday accused of the murder of Lee Subaran.

Three men were jailed for life for Mr Subaran's murder last July. One man was cleared at the same trial and the jury could not agree a verdict on another.

Another man is in custody awaiting trial over Mr Subaran's death.

Mr Carty is also charged with possession of a firearm and intent to endanger life.

Leon Roberts, 27, Tafari Dacas, 29, and Shane Taylor, 27, all from north-west London, are currently serving their jail terms.

No date has been set for the retrial of the man who the jury could not reach a verdict on.
