Police fire shot in street arrest
A man is in custody after a police officer opened fire in a London street.

Scotland Yard said no-one was hurt when the officer fired one shot during the arrest of a man, suspected of being armed, in south Kensington on Tuesday.

Police said the incident began in the Brompton Road area when they responded to reports that a man had tried to rob a shop after breaking a window.

He was chased and a shot was fired by a police officer. A man was arrested, a police spokeswoman said.
