Snooze cubicles for City workers

Members can take a nap, or read a book in peace
A club in the heart of London's Square Mile is offering stressed-out City workers somewhere to lay their heads.

Founders Richard Walker and Nigel Mitchell, both former City high-fliers, wanted to offer a respite from 12-hour working days.

The Zzed Sheds, inside private members' club Shed, contain beds for members to catch forty winks.

If successful, the idea may be rolled out on to high streets across London for anyone to use.

Mr Walker said they wanted to create a private members' club with a modern twist.

Shed members can stroll into the Zzed sheds, if free, for a nap, or for a quiet read away from the hustle and bustle of City life.

"People in the City work long hours", said Mr Walker.

"Twelve hour days are common and when the pressure is on, some people work long into the night.

"If you are working like this you need a place to go to recharge your batteries."
