Unattended bags are hampering London's transport service as it attempts to return to normal after Thursday's bombs, Transport for London (TfL) said.
Buses and trains are running, as is the Tube on lines not damaged by the bombs. But TfL warned some stretches of the underground may take weeks to restore.
There have been more than 50 security alerts since Thursday, many caused by left bags, increasing delays.
Some roads are closed near blast sites. All mainline stations are open.
A TfL spokesman said: "These security alerts are causing delays to services and placing an additional burden on our staff and emergency services who are working so hard to keep London moving safely.
'Remain vigilant'
"At this time, it is irresponsible in the extreme for a minority of passengers to cause major disruptions through thoughtlessness.
"We are asking everyone travelling in the capital to help us by keeping hold of their possessions and getting rid of their litter sensibly."
He asked people to remain vigilant and to report anything suspicious to transport workers.
On the London Underground network the Circle Line is still closed.
There is no service on the Hammersmith and City Line between Paddington and Barking, with a replacement bus service calling at Royal Oak, Paddington and Baker Street.
Replacement buses
The District Line has been suspended both ways between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road, while the Piccadilly Line is not running between Hyde Park Corner and Arnos Grove.
Also the Piccadilly Line service between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane has been suspended to allow more trains to be used on shuttle services running on other parts of the line.
Replacement bus services are operating between Arnos Grove and Finchley Central and between Bounds Green and Seven Sisters.
Extra buses on route 91 will run between Holloway Road and Euston via Caledonian Road and King's Cross.
On the Metropolitan Line, there is no service between Moorgate and Aldgate and only the Metropolitan Line is stopping at King's Cross Tube station.
Flights are operating normally at London's airports but travellers are being urged to arrive at airports early to allow plenty of time to check-in as security checks are at a maximum.
