Message board of love is unveiled

The piece of art contains messages of love
Hundreds of messages of love hidden under a silver layer make up the latest piece of art on the South Bank.

People walking past the installation between Festival Hall and Hungerford Bridge will be encouraged to scratch the surface to reveal the messages.

As the secret love notes written by Londoners are slowly revealed, so too is the 20-metre wide art work.

The installation, created by students at London's Central Saint Martin's College, goes up on Monday.

The hidden love messages will be revealed every day up until Valentine's Day.

Jude Kelly, artistic director of the South Bank Centre, said: "We hope to bring some romance to London's commuters with this installation.
