Gate Gourmet sacked 670 catering workers at Heathrow
Catering workers sacked after strike action at Heathrow airport in August have until the end of Friday to apply for compensation payments.

Gate Gourmet agreed a deal with the Transport and General Workers Union giving the 670 sacked staff a choice of compensation or new terms.

But staff who fail to sign the compromise agreement by 16 December will miss out on the payments.

So far 80% of the former Gate Gourmet workers have accepted the offer.

Gate Gourmet supplies British Airways with tens of thousands of in-flight meals each day.
