A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 24-year-old who was beaten to death on a night out.
Painter and decorator Rashid Tabali, 19, of East Acton, West London, was remanded in custody by South Western Magistrates' on Wednesday.
He is accused of attacking Saad Ilhim Mohiuddin, from New Malden, south-west London, in Whitcomb Street, central London, early on Sunday.
Mr Tabali is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 10 August.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate Mr Mohiuddin, the son of a former Pakistan international cricketer, but he was pronounced dead at St Thomas' Hospital just before 0400 BST on Sunday.
A post-mortem examination at Greenwich Mortuary found Mr Mohiuddin died from head and neck injuries.
Nine others arrested in connection with the attack have been released without charge.
