Man quizzed about missing woman
A man is being questioned about the apparent disappearance of a young mother in west London.

Marzuka Taran's family became concerned when she did not turn up to collect her daughter from school on Wednesday.

She was last seen dropping the girl off at Ivybridge school in Isleworth at 0900 GMT.

Police do not know why Ms Taran, 34, might have vanished. They have arrested a 36-year-old man who is being questioned about her disappearance.

Her family reported her missing after she failed to pick her daughter up, and could not be found at home.

Ms Taran who is from Afghanistan, had left personal items at her home in Summerwood Road, Isleworth, that she would often carry. Her family say it is unusual that she would not have told someone where she was going.

She speaks little English and was wearing a brown jacket, dark trousers and dark headscarf.

Police want to hear from anyone who might know where she is, or saw her on Wednesday.
