The guides offer specific travel advice
|
A new guide to encourage people with learning disabilities to use public transport is being launched.
Transport for London's (TfL) Out and About in London guide breaks journeys into stages to help people feel more confident about travelling alone.
It also offers specific travel advice such as getting help, staying safe, dealing with roads and useful contacts.
The free guide also contains space for people to record personal details and individual journey details.
Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, said: "London's transport network can seem complicated and intimidating to people with learning difficulties and a lack of access to transport can cause real problems.
"This guide will help to give people the confidence to travel independently and to open up access to everything London offers."
