There has been a big rise in men working in the City of London taking up plastic surgery, it has been claimed.
Liposuction is the most popular among male City workers
The Harley Medical Group says booking from male workers was up 40% last month at its City and Harley Street clinics.
The top three treatments are liposuction, nose jobs and injectable treatments such as Botox and collagen.
Fat removing liposuction costs from about £2,800, you would have to pay upwards of £3,800 for a nose job and injectable ones are about £150.
Tammy Campbell, clinic manager at the City Clinic, said: "Most of the male patients we see are very bothered about stubborn fat on their stomach and flanks areas and say that they feel terribly self conscious and uncomfortable in the gym.
"They say that this is their main motivation for undergoing surgery."
Nearly half (45%) of the enquiries last month were about liposuction - the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure for male patients for the last three years.
The Harley Medical Group said that 32% of enquiries were about nose jobs - or rhinoplasty - to help them get a better nose shape or to correct a nose damaged in sport.
And 15% of enquiries were about injectable treatments - most commonly used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and ageing, and rarely for lip enhancement.
Ms Campbell said the most common question asked by City workers was when would they be ready to get back to work.
"I guess there are more bonus targets to hit for the future," she said.
City bonuses hit a four-year high in 2005.
