Arsenal footballer Jermaine Pennant has dropped his appeal against a three month sentence for drink-driving.
Jermaine Pennant is currently on loan to Birmingham City
The 22-year-old, from Barnet, north London, who is on loan to Birmingham City, was jailed last week.
He was arrested after crashing into a lamppost in Aylesbury, Bucks, on 23 January. Pennant admitted drink-driving and driving while disqualified.
His solicitor, Barry Warburton, confirmed the appeal had been dropped but refused to comment further.
Pennant is serving his sentence at HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes, Bucks, after pleading guilty on 1 February.
The former England under-21 star had been banned from driving for 16 months in February last year after being seen travelling in the wrong lane in Paddington, west London.
