Teenage model Sally Anne Bowman was sexually assaulted before being murdered, police have confirmed.
Sally Anne Bowman had been out in Croydon town centre
The 18-year-old's partially clothed body was found yards from her home in South Croydon, south London, on Sunday morning. She had been stabbed to death.
Officers want to find her white Prada handbag, passport and mobile phone.
Three men arrested over her death, including an ex-boyfriend, have been released without charge. A 26-year-old man has been released on police bail.
Miss Bowman had been out in Croydon town centre on Saturday night.
She was in Lloyds Bar from 2200 BST until 0100 BST before going back to a friend's house.
Miss Bowman then caught a cab back into Croydon but it is not known where she was between then and when her body was discovered at 0630 BST.
Her handbag is a white leather half moon and her mobile phone is a Samsung D500.
She was wearing white high-heeled sandals, a short blue denim skirt, and a white bodice top.
Det Ch Insp Stuart Cundy, who is leading the murder investigation, said: "It may be that the person who killed Sally Anne discarded them whilst leaving the scene. Maybe they have been sold on to you? Or maybe you found them and kept them?
"If this is the case, I would urge you to contact me. You won't be in trouble for having them, but it is evidence which would help our inquiry."
Family and friends have left floral tributes close to the spot where her body was found.
Miss Bowman was a part-time model and hairdresser, as well as a student at the Brit School for performing arts in Croydon.
Her stepfather and two stepsisters visited the scene on Monday and issued a statement saying: "We love and miss her so much and wish to stress that if anyone has the slightest information about Sally Anne's death, even if they don't think it's important, please come forward."
