Teenager denies 'framing rapper'
Megaman when he appeared on TVs Nevermind the Buzzcocks
Dwayne Vincent denies murder
A teenager has told the Old Bailey he is not trying to frame rapper Megaman for his brother's murder.

Via video link, Kyle Scarlett, 17, replied no when the prosecution asked him if he had been trying to "do Megaman down".

Megaman, real name Dwayne Vincent, 26, of Barons Court, west London, and Carl Morgan, 24, of Battersea, south London, deny Colin Scarlett's murder.

It is alleged the So Solid Crew rapper cajoled Mr Morgan to shoot the victim.

Mr Scarlett's brother has said he believes Mr Vincent was the instigator of the shooting.

'Beaten up'

The 17-year-old also denied in court suggestions by the defence that he had not actually been present when the shooting took place.

Mr Scarlett had become the boyfriend of Mr Morgan's former girlfriend.

Mr Morgan has two children with Mr Scarlett's partner.

The prosecution alleges the two accused went to Mr Scarlett's home after he had beaten Mr Morgan up.

The case has been adjourned until Tuesday.
