Youngster sings for school fees
Alexander Barnett
Alexander Barnett's dream is to go to stage school
A 10-year-old boy has become London's youngest busker after performing at Covent Garden.

Alexander Barnett, from Edgware, north London, sang and played his guitar in front of a crowd of more than 100 people in Central London.

The youngster, who has already performed live on radio and TV, sang Unchained Melody and Bohemian Rhapsody to raise money for stage school fees.

His mother Stephanie said it was her son's "dream to go to stage school".

Alexander, who wants to be a pop star or an actor, said it had been nerve-wracking but an exciting experience which he wanted to do again.

The youngster is hoping to do a repeat performance next month after raising about £100 on Friday.

Covent Garden Market Manager Amanda Spedding said: "We wish Alexander all the best of luck in his career and hope to see him here again soon."
