A teenager has denied stabbing an 85-year-old woman to death at her home in north-west London.

Kemi Adeyoola, 18, pleaded not guilty at the Old Bailey on Friday to the murder of Anne Mendel in March.

Mrs Mendel's 80-year-old husband Leonard found her body at their house in Elmcroft Crescent, in Golders Green. She died from a stab wound.

Ms Adeyoola, of Camden, north London, was remanded in custody until a trial on 27 February next year.
