Four men are due to appear in court charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a 15-year-old boy.

The teenager was said to have been taken from a street in north London on Wednesday evening and held in a car.

Rossi Lupepe, 21, and Bienvenue Mbonazo, 19, of London, are charged with false imprisonment and blackmail.

Julio Odjoma, 22, of north London, and Charlie Mbonazo, 22, of east London, are charged with kidnap, false imprisonment and blackmail.

They are due before Horseferry Road magistrates on Friday.

The boy was rescued from the vehicle in Carlingford Road, Seven Sisters, by officers from the Met's kidnap unit later on Wednesday.

A police spokesman said the teenager was in hospital with minor injuries.
