A man who was attacked by a gang of youths after his friend complained about a bike left in the middle of a pavement, has lost an eye.
The victim was with a man and two women in Merton Road, near Granville Road, south-west London when they passed the group early on 31 July.
The teenagers threw bricks and glass at them before striking the man, aged in his 20s, in the face with a bottle.
He remains in a specialist hospital where his right eye was removed.
The victim suffered a number of facial injuries and is said to be in a stable condition.
'Disgraceful and unprovoked'
The group of up to eight youths were white and aged in their mid to late teens.
A police spokesman described the attack as "disgraceful and unprovoked" and said the rest of the man's friends were lucky to escape without serious injuries.
The friends were on their way home after a night out in Wimbledon.
They had caught the Number 156 bus and got off outside the Park Tavern in Merton Road just before 0100 BST.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
