A student has been jailed for life for murdering a leading literary agent in a sado-masochistic sex session.
Rod Hall represented writers of well-known films
Usman Durrani, 20, repeatedly stabbed his partner Rod Hall, 53, after chaining him up at his home in Southwark, south London, in May 2004.
An Old Bailey jury found Durrani, of East Ham, east London, guilty of murder after rejecting a manslaughter plea.
Mr Hall represented the writers of The Full Monty and Billy Elliot. Durrani had denied his murder.
He had pleaded guilty to manslaughter because of abnormality of mind.
The court was told that Durrani wanted to end his relationship with Mr Hall but persuaded him to take part in one last sex session.
The court heard that Durrani, who led a secret homosexual life, was "deeply disturbed".
The prosecution had said the relationship between the pair turned deadly when Mr Hall realised Durrani was only interested in his success.
Judge Gerald Gordon said Durrani should serve a minimum of 12 years.
