One dead after police chase crash
One person has died and another has been seriously injured after a car being chased by police crashed into another vehicle in east London.

Scotland Yard said the car failed to stop for a routine check and turned onto the wrong carriageway of the north circular at about 2.20pm on Friday.

The car crashed with the other car and a motorbike on the A406 near the junction with the M11, in Wanstead.

The A406 westbound was shut from Redbridge roundabout to Chingford.

Essex Police said the crash caused tailbacks between junctions seven and six of the M11 in Harlow, Essex.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said forensic teams attended the scene.

The motorcyclist and another person were also hurt.
