Masseur was stabbed and strangled

A Thai masseur has been found stabbed and strangled at his Chelsea flat.

The landlord found the body of Niphan Trikhana, known as Nikki, with a cord round the neck at the flat in Cranley Place, on 23 July.

The 32-year-old, who came to the UK in 2001, had been stabbed but tests showed strangulation was the cause of death.

Scotland Yard said a confidential hotline has been set up for Mr Trikhana's clients and gay police officers are available to talk to.

Mr Trikhana had moved from a flat in Pembridge Road, Notting Hill, 10 days before his murder, police said.

He was also studying English at the nearby Lilian Bishop School in Harrington Road.

"We are keen to hear from any friends, or anyone who knew Nikki, either as a student or as a masseur," said Det Insp Bill Jephson.

"Anyone who may have seen him prior to his death is asked to contact police as we wish to establish his movements leading up to his murder."
