Bus driver knifed by motorcyclist
Number 316 bus
The motorcyclist reached under the partition and stabbed the driver
A motorcyclist swerved in front of a bus in west London, forced his way on board and then stabbed the driver.

The victim, 36, is recovering from a collapsed lung after being stabbed in the chest at 1545 BST on Monday.

Police said the bike had passed the 316 bus at speed, in North Kensington, but it is not known if they collided.

The motorcyclist hit an emergency button to open the doors while his female passenger stayed on the bike. Both then fled the scene.

Detective Inspector Mike Christensen, of Kensington and Chelsea CID, described it as an unusually "savage attack".

He said the motorcyclist reached under the driver's partition screen to hit him.

The driver then drove off, before realising he had been stabbed.

Mr Christensen added: "This bus driver was attacked in his daily place of work.

"He was in and out of consciousness in aftermath of the attack and could quite easily have been killed."
