Man questioned over hit-and-run
Jodie Duffin
Jody is "well known and respected"
A man is to be questioned over a hit-and-run which seriously injured a 12-year-old girl.

Jodie Duffin was hit by a car while crossing Tudor Drive in Morden, south west London, after getting off a bus on 19 June.

Police said the 31-year-old man, who has been remanded in custody in Sussex over unrelated offences, will be questioned next week.

Jodie is in a critical condition at a south London hospital.

On Tuesday, Jodie's parents released pictures of their daughter in intensive care.

They took the unusual step in the hope of persuading the driver to come forward.

Jodie was described as a "popular girl" by her headteacher at Glenthorne High School, Stephen Hume.
