Clampdown on bogus taxi drivers

Police have arrested 19 people in a crackdown on bogus minicab drivers who tout for business in London.

Undercover teams of female officers are targeting drivers in Westminster across the weekend.

Of those arrested on Friday night, two had been disqualified from driving, one was carrying a knife and another had a stolen credit card.

The Metropolitan Police said touts usually preyed on groups of women, and warned people to be on their guard.
