More weekend closures for station
District Line train
The District Line runs through Bow Road
London Underground has said there will be more weekend closures of Bow Road station to complete modernisation work.

The 102-year-old listed station will be completely closed this weekend, the 16-17 and 30-31 October, as well as on 11-12 December and 29-30 January.

The improvements include work to the platforms, ticket hall and the outside of the building.

The modernisation, carried out by private maintenance firm Metronet, should be completed at end of February.

The station currently closes early at 2200 BST and this will continue until February.

But from 26 October late openings will stop, and the east London station will open at 0515 BST.

Bow Road has the District Line, Hammersmith and City Line and the Docklands Light Railway running through it.
