Airline sacks drink charge pilot
A pilot who has been charged with preparing to fly a passenger plane while drunk, has been sacked.

Charles Nicholls, 53, of west London, a captain with Royal Brunei Airlines, was breathalysed at Heathrow Airport on 1 July. He was due to fly to Brunei.

A statement from the airline said he lost his job after an internal inquiry found he had contravened employment regulations and operational procedures.

Mr Nicholls is due before Uxbridge Magistrates on 27 October.
