Teenager killed in Tube stabbing
Police officers at the scene
The murder investigation closed the station, causing Tube delays
An armed gang chased and killed a teenager at a west London Tube station.

The 19-year-old victim was on his way home on Thursday when he was stabbed to death at Hounslow West station at 2320 BST.

The gang followed him and two friends into the station, jumping over barriers before attacking them.

The station was sealed off by police, causing delays for thousands of holidaymakers heading to Heathrow. Two men have been arrested.

Officers were called to the station by Tube staff at about 2315 BST after reports of a fight involving up to eight men.

Det Supt Sue Hill said: "The victim had been playing football in Beaversfield Park with four friends.

"Two friends left and the remaining three were coming away from the park towards the station when they saw this group with an assortment of weapons.

"They sought haven in the Tube station and thought they would be safe on the platform.

"But seven youths stormed through the barriers and the victim was beaten and stabbed, with the other two friends also being assaulted"

The train driver tried to save him, but the victim died later in hospital.

Two men, aged 16 and 19, are being questioned by police at a west London station.
