Hewitt quizzed on assault claim

Hewitt won Five's Back to Reality on Friday

James Hewitt has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a photographer outside his South Kensington home.

A police spokesman confirmed a man, 45, had been arrested after the incident, at about midnight, and released on bail until a date in April.

The spokesman said the alleged victim had suffered injuries consistent with common assault.

Mr Hewitt was crowned winner of the Channel Five show Back to Reality, on Friday night.

The photographer is alleged to have suffered a minor head injury.
